Default 8 Track Dimensions

Hi, I need the measurements for the standard 8 Track Cassette and I do not
have one handy. (I confess... I'm not a collector, just a random guy in need
of some numbers.)

If someone has the time, and a ruler, I could really use the length, width,
and how thick an 8 Track is, with and without a standard case, preferrably
in metric measurements (they're more exact).

Hi Arthur,

First, before anybody jumps down your throat, they are 8-track
cartridges, not cassettes. A minor point...

Due to player mechanics, the width and thickness of all 8-tracks are
very consistent. However, with the end sticking out of the player into
open space, the length can vary, so there is about a 2 cm variance
between the longest and shortest cart styles.

Here are the measurements for a standard Columbia TC8 cartridge:

Length: 13.4 cm
Width: 10.0 cm
Height: 2.2 cm

Hope this helps!

You know, I thought they might be cartridges, but I had just done some
posting in an Atari forum and figured I was just dragging some of that into
my 8-track thoughts.

And yes, that's very helpful, thanks a lot!
