Default Confederate Currency

Ok, here are some questions for all of you. I'm looking for the currency
that has beautiful vignettes and some vivid colors on them. The main colors
I've seen are orange, red, green, or blue. I'm not sure if they are
Confederate or Colonial or what they are. If I knew what I was looking for
I could search eBay, but unfortunately I don't. How collectable is this
type of currency? I currently collect Large Size notes so I have very
little knowledge of this type of currency. Thanks for any help you can give
me.

Mark

Ok, I think I've figured out that what I'm looking for are Obsolete
Banknotes, more specifically Broken Banknotes. How collectable are these?
They have some of the most beautiful vignettes and vivid colors of any notes
I've ever seen.

Mark

Check out eBay and "obsolete" US currency. Sounds like what you're looking for.
Also, (shameless plug) check out my web site in my signature line

Thank You Brian. That is exactly what I was looking for. And thank you for
pointing me towards your website. You have some very nice photos of
Obsolete Currency on there.

Obsolete currency is very collectable and adapts itself well to
"theme" collecting. You can go in just about any direction you want:
by denomination,
state, region within a state, farming scenes, famous people etc.
Prices have risen quite a bit over the past 20 years but many are
still affordable (very affordable compared to many large size US govt.
notes).
