Default NSM City 2 carriage unresponsive

I recently was asked to look at an NSM City 2 for a friend. They said it was functioning properly until a few days ago when the carriage suddenly stopped responding. Apparently some mice were making a nest in it recently. I took a look at it to see if any wires were obviously chewed through, and the only thing I found was a bit of one wire nibbled at which plugged into a PS/2 style connection on the board for the carriage connection. Also, it might be that the PCB on the carriage is burned out, possibly from mice, but not sure. The lady have no manuals for the machine, and any help would be appreciated if anyone knows what might be useful to fix it.

Sounds like you got a fun one there James!

I am not sure what ES system that uses. I am familiar with the ESIII
type. On my main board there are several red LED power indicators for
the various supply voltages. I would check these out first, make sure
all are lit.

Good luck
