Default AVOID EDMONTON STAMP SHOW=THIEVES!!

Repost of an interesting expose.
Hopefully enough of you will take heed, and avoid being another victim
there!

How many dealers will have their items STOLEN this year at the
thieving Edmonton Stamp Show?

Hopefully enough honest dealers will boycott the Edmonton stamp show,
thereby teaching the thieves there that not everyone is willing to
allow them to continually steal their philatelic treasures!!

This warning needs repeating,

Posted January 10, 2004: On March 29, 2003, twenty (20)

collectible

the
Edmonton Spring National show in Edmonton, Alberta.

The details of each cover can be obtained from Don at 17131

items
ranged from $75 to $950; and there was another lot of 10 or so

Most covers were small queens. There were 4 large queen covers

and one
5 cent beaver cover. One item was a 10 cent rated registered

cover
franked with 20 1/2 cent small queens, from Quebec to Buenos

So I gather from what you are saying is the organizers/promoters of the
edmonton stamp show lure unsyuspecting dealers intosome dingy, crowded room,
drug them with what? A secret potion? Anyway these dealers are somehow
conned into going to edmonton and then the organizers steal their stamps.
WOW!! What a concept!! Do you thnk I could lure these same dealers to
nebraska and maybe steal what ever stamps are remaining?

Or maybe you are just some nut case that needs to get a life. (perhaps?)

Well said Expo. I have read with increasing irritation the messages
relating to the Edmonton Stamp show, which I believe has national
status in Canada. I have found no warnings on the APS site or in any
other official publication that would lead me to consider Edmonton any
more or less "safe" as far as the theft of stamps is concerned.
I wonder if there is any method of blocking these particular
messageswhich take up space and have no merit whatsoever.

Don't forget that Heinrich Himmler, or whatever he calls himself next time,
is just a pathetic troll and just wants other people to respond to his inane
and offensive posts. He is the same person who sends equally inane and
offensive posts about a real or mythical person called "Cornel von Berwald".

From now on I am killfiling all messages containing the word "Edmonton" in
the header, as I have done already for those containing "Berwald".

So Mette, please be careful if you decide to send a message about Swedish
composers :-)

Best regards, Roger

I have now looked at the messages posted by "Heinrichhimmelfarb" on
other google groups and they consist of the worst type of racist slurs

Edmonton generally is the object of his opprobrium, not just the stamp

: The article in the news did not say whether it is suspected

that
: the theft was done by someone connected with the so-called
: stamp show, since for quite a few of the past shows, there

have been
: similar thefts from dealers.

: That is why there are now fewer and fewer reputable dealers
: attending this particular so-called show.

: For what dealers must pay to attend the show, why don't the

executives
: of the Edmonton Stamp Club pay for qualified security staff?
: Is it that they want to wine and dine themselves into a stupor

from all
: the profits from overcharging the few dealers left who attend?
: BEWARE!!! UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR STOCK STOLEN!!

: In a related story, the person in charge of the Edmonton Stamp

Club
: stamp shows is being investigated by C.C.R.A. Special

Investigations
: in connection with his testimony in Court, regarding MILLIONS

OF
: DOLLARS OF UNDECLARED INCOME!!
: Further, the tax authorities are also checking into his

admission
: of MONEY LAUNDERING!!

Edmonton generally is the object of his opprobrium, not just the stamp
fair. His antisemitic rants are disgusting. Is there any means of his
being barred form the message baord?

One must learn to translate Mr. Grosvenor's vomitus. When he says,
for instance. "AVOID EDMONTON STAMP SHOW" he is saying "They refused to purchase my $0.02 stamp and
give me the $550.00 I was asking for it."

Once you understand the mindset, it is easy to fill in the blanks.
