Books value

I have a hb and dj in good condtion of The
Assassination of Joe McCarthy. It has a price and name blacked out on
inside cover. Does this rule out any value? or is this just a in the
eyes of the beholder sort of thing. It sells for a min of $60 at
amazon.

How much the markings you describe would reduce the value of your book
depends on why a customer wants to buy it. My guess is that most people
interested in this title are after the content, and those markings should
make that much difference. I saw the three books listed on Amazon, with the
$60+ book as the lowest price and the $90+ as the highest. It's really hard
to tell if those prices are anywhere close to reality unless you know if
anyone ever buys the book. If it were me, I'd list it on Amazon at $50, or
even $55 and see what happened. If there is anyone who wants this book,
having a fairly decent copy at the lowest price should nab them.
