"Solution" for removing gum

Well here it is. I tested it tonight on the $4.60 Mt. Rushmore
Priority rate. As one of our friends already said, use Naptha. So I
checked Ronsonol Lighter Fluid on the gum. Whalla!...it worked. I
was luckey enough to get a stamp I was able to peel off some clear
packaging tape from a package. Absolutely no effect on the ink, it
was totally perfect. I had to rub the gum side a bit, but it came off
clean. I have yet to test the solution on a stamp that is stuck to
paper, but I have no doubt it will work. It may take a bit of extra
time, but you don't have to put stamps in your collection that are
stuck to paper! Good luck.

Great news Stampwolf. Glad it worjed out for you.

Please let us know if it also works on other denominations,
as they may have different gums.
