Gary, I hope you aren't the one who sent those Liberty Nickels in for
grading.

Nope, I had a friend who had a family member pass on, and he wants to
get rid of them.

I don't understand the thought behind trying to conserve a nickel in Good.
That one makes no sense to me unless they were hoping to have it conserved
back to EF/AU.

In my opinion, you're lowering the money you'll get by shipping Priority
mail. You're charging $4.95 and most of these coins aren't worth much
more than a few dollars. If you offered first class shipping for a
dollar or two, you'd get higher bids.

Thanks for the advice, I will consider it in future auctions!

What is the cost of having Numismatic Guaranty Corp do this grading?

Does it then pay to sell a G-4 coin via eBay? A 1899 G-4 nickel from
the U.S. seems to worth about $1.75 according to the Red Book, so is
there a payback for having had it graded?

What does someone in Canada do with these U.S. coins, to either sell
them or to buy them. I note that the eBay posting clearly limits these
coins to sale in the U.S., for example...

FWIW, both curious and with a lot of U.S. coins on hand.

I think a lot of people just have no idea whatsoever how to grade. They
send G coins in and hope and pray for a MS-66 or whatever.
