Default Thomas More Book 1532 ?

No, it's a cheap reprint. I'll take it off your hands, though, if you
like...

Seriously, for books to 1640, go to the Short-Title Catalogue. The book you
refer to is STC 18079 . That gives 9 holding libraries and indicates there
are others. COPAC
(http://www.copac.ac.uk/copac/wzgw?f=...2FT&id=2800862) is a useful
online reference (as is OCLC), but the STC is the definitive bibliography.
Tyndale's book, of which this is a refutation, is STC 24437. A second part
was published in 1533.

Yes, this was the first edition. The second (as far as I can ascertain) was
in 1973!

And, finally...um...I'm jealous as hell.

Thanks again John. I don't know what I would do without you. I have a
feeling I wont be selling this on ebay.
Thanks again.

Actually, even better than the STC these days is the online ESTC (not the
Extra-Short Title Catalogue, but the English Short-Title Catalogue), which
includes all of the original STC plus Wing plus the Eighteenth-Century
Short-Title Catalogue (which was what ESTC originally stood for). All the known
titles published in the British Isles and North America, plus titles in English
printed abroad, from 1475 until 1800, and fully searchable. As well as the
details included in the original printed books, the ESTC has fuller entries
including additional bibliographic descriptions in most cases. (I think that's
right, it's a little while since I've used it.) Not sure how many libraries make
it available, but any university or research library should be able to provide
you with access.

Sandy
