Printing your own supplements

Having been absent from the hobby for a number of years, I am finding the cost of buying all the White Ace supplements I need is going to be way more expensive than I would like. So I went googling and found a great site that will let me print out sheet for almost any country for a yearly subscription, which is right up my alley. So, the big question is what type of paper to use. Obviously, I need to use acid free paper, and others have told me that I should use archival quality paper because it will be buffered. So, I was thinking of bypassing the whole wood pulp problem and directly to 100% cotton cardstock. It's more expensive than wood pulp paper, but for long term storage it seems more durable. Has anyone else had experience using cotton paper to print album pages? Yes, stampalbums.com is a great source for downloading album pages at a very reasonable price. I've been using Staples cover stock #490882 for several years for my home-made album pages as well as greeting cards. Its 67-lb weight easily goes through my HP ink-jet printer without jamming and the paper is acid-free. A pack of 250 pages sells for $10.99. That's about 4.4 cents per page. I have never tried cotton card stock. Bill |
