Mounts for Stamps
I've finally run across some stamps that do not fit real well into the
'standard' or 'popular' sized Showgard mounts I have. I need mounts for 6 of the US Liberty Series stamps. The stamps measure Hor-26mm x Vert-22mm. I obviously need to purchase some strips and cut my own for these. Looking at my 'standard' mounts it would appear that there is typically a 3mm border between the edge of the stamp and the edge of the mount. If all is true then I need a strip(s) that are Vert-28mm actual size. Having no local place that sells strips I am unable to measure them, but judging by the precut ones I have I would want to purchase a 22mm strip instead as the strip size equates to the size of the stamp its intended to hold, not the actual size of the strip itself. Am I correct? |

Sheese, I found the standard mount size (EH) I need in my set so all is
well there. I've been looking at too many stamps and mounts today, however I'm still curious about the strip sizes - actual or stamp size. Thanks... Strip sizes represent the size of the stamp to be mounted, although
sometime they do things such as making #25 mounts thant handle stamps up to 25.5 mm high. = Eric Grandpa wrote: Sheese, I found the standard mount size (EH) I need in my set so all is well there.
