Victorian Sheet Music Collection
hi everyone,
I have a question for anyone out there who collects books of sheet music. I recently came to own a book of sheet music. The music seems to be a home made collection of sheet music from a music school or possibly a church. The book is credited as being the creation of "Hannah Wilson" and is dated 1875. The works are all by different composers. The book contains about 35 seperate pieces of work by various composers. The works are interspersed with adverts and illustrations all related to tghe works or their composers. The biniding was brown leather with gold leaf lettering, however the binding is quite tired and tattered. Does anyone have any idea to what this could be worth, or best of all some more of its history? Can anyone suggest where I could go for a valuation or more info(I'm UK based by the way)? Many thanks for you're help. Andy |
