Tuesday
Another day with some sunshine in-between the rain. Got 3 today and
looking for an address. Here's the goods: NHL Campbell, Bryan, 9864 Grand Verde Way, Boca Raton, FL. 33428, 2 signed IC's, I sent. NFL Davis, Willie, 7352 Vista Del Mar, Venice, CA 90273, HOF'er, 2 signed IC's, I sent. MLB Davis, Brandy, 222 Cheltenbam Rd, Newark, DE 19712, 2 signed IC's, I sent, he sent a small, signed picture and a grunch of papers telling about his back ground. Now for the address, anyone got an address for Ed Ott? Thought he was the Tigers, guess not. Thanks for any help. Hope everyone had a great day, Joe. |

Got to be you, I got a lot of them from this group and as for minor people,
your right. Been writing a lot of Star Trek people who had a 1 shot deal in 1 episode. Many have sent back cards. I've got no specific group of people to write to except hockey players, from all the leagues, with over 1150, guess I'm a little successful. Joe Dahoov2 wrote in message ... Does it matter? I get lots of autographs from people you don't know and lots of people get autographs of models and wrestliing and sports I don't know. As long as they mean something to the person getting them, that's all that countss! PS In case you are just sending to Alist celebrities, you are missing out on the most rewarding part of collecting. I have sent to minor people no one ever heard of and I have gotten the best letters and many items I didn't expect including: Drawings, a watercolor costume sketch with fabric swatch, a few comics, two t-shirts, a couple sweatshirts, a cast gift (Calendar), a premiere invitation, a ticket for an exhibit which the guy did, candid photos, call sheets and so much more. But mostly, these people you "never heard of" are the ones where I find the best stories, the sincerest words and insider information. Coach, he was taking a slam at someone who collects sports people of
his own interests. Though you may not have heard of them, does not mean he should be slammed for it. Funny comment or not. I know it's hard to resist making smartass comments sometimes, but geez, you want all the good people who actually research and share their experiences to leave? Why can't we all just be nice. Damn this place sucks. On 14 Aug 2003 17:29:11 GMT, (CallMeCoach) wrote: IS IT JUST ME ? I'VE NEVER HEARD OF MOST OF THESE PEOPLE THAT YOU RECEIVED AUTOGRAPHS FROM. LOL! Nope, it's not you. That's cool and you know what? It's those people whose day you made
and who appreciate a fan or two! And a goal of getting all the Yankees players for the last 20 years would be so cool and half of them no one probably ever heard of. Hell, my kid got Chuck McElroy's sig when he was at the very frist Rockies -Cub game. He turned out to be nobody, but it was my sons first in person experience. Just because some on here never heard of him, tough for them. It meant something to my son! People on here are starting to get on my nerves. The world is bad enough without having people try to knock you down at every turn or because you collect sigs others care less about.
