Default Where do you get your collection?

I thiink it dependa on where you live.
When I was in CA there were many antique shops, thrift stores etc to
choose form.
In my current location there is nothing at all. I get my stuff on
eBay.

As someone interested in collecting, I would like to know where you, the
experts go to find your collections. Can you really find stuff at a garage
sale or is that just a myth? What other places would be good to get items at
a reasonable cost?
