Default Seeburg G question

I have the opportunity to pick up a non working Seeburg G for $500.
The cabinet is solid, the chrome is pitted, it needs mirrors, the 5U4
tube is missing and the mech is stuck. Should I buy or run away?

I think you have to start by asking yourself what you want to do with
the box if you buy it. Are you going to restore it, refurbish it, or
just try to resell it. The prices on the 100 play Seeburg's has
fallen. However $500 for a solid Seeburg G is still a pretty good
price. It is almost to the point were the parts are worth more than
the jukebox. If you striped it down and sold the parts, the dome is
worth $100-$200, mech cover $50-$100, mech $75-$150, keyboard $25-$40,
amp $75-$150, reciever $50-$125, cabinet $50-$200, set of chrome $25-
$175, speaker $50-$100, back doors $25-$60. These prices depend on
condition and of course finding someone who needs those parts. If you
buy it and are looking just to turn it and make a profit you should
make one but depending on condition and who you find to buy it you
should make somewhere between $100 and $350. If you plan on keeping
it, the tube is no big deal $10-$15, the mirrors $25-$40, the mech
being stuck is most likely either the motor or motor coupling or the
clutch being stuck. If the chrome is so bad that it has to be replated
plan on spending a good amount of money to have this done. I think
$500 for a solid G is still pretty good.
