I purchased 100 2008 ASE from the mint as an investment. As luck would
have it, I received all coins with the 2007 reverse. Does anyone know
the going price for these coins?

eBay searches reveal much. I implore you to consult the great eBay Search
Oracle. She will have answers.

I would be willing to pay you $5 apiece for these coins.

Seriously now, why do they command such a high premium, given that their
number is around 47.000 pieces?...

People are impatient.

Some people also spent $200+ to get a smooth edge G.W. Dollar and now
they are selling for $50 or less. I think I will hold off until I can
get a no-edge G.W. Dollar, NGC or PCGS certifed, for under $30. One
sold for $42, so it's only a matter of time.

I find if I follow a two year rule then the hype has died down and prices
have slid along with it. I picked up a bunch of 2006 Reverse Proofs in the
summer last year, sold back the ordinary ones, and culled a few that were oh
so close to PF70 for 3/4 the price an average example typically sold in
early 2008 and 1/2 the price they sold for in 2007.

Now I am trying to find a real nice specimin of the 2007 Jamestown Proof. I
recently snagged an NGC 70 for under $50 whereas even a year ago I would
have likely paid double.

As an aside I find that once I have looked at a bunch of examples of the
same coin eventually one will come by that just grabs my eye because it is
*that* much better than all the rest I have looked at.

Well then, it seems I'll never understand people...
