Circa 1940 McDonalds/British Consols "Daily Mail" Cigarette Card Singles
I have for sale the following C. 1940 McDonalds/British Consol "Daily Mail" Cigarette Card Singles. "Macdonald issued their aeroplane and warship series circa 1940 and included a card with each pack of British Consol cigarettes. An airplane appears on the front of each of these cards with "Daily Mail" in a red, white and blue banner. On the reverse of the British Consols cards is a playing card and an offer for a full sized pack of playing cards in exchange for 2 sets of cigarette cards. Each card measure approx. 2 3/8" x 1 5/8". Note: Some numbers appear 2 or 3 times in the same issue, reason, some cards state: "FLIGHT PHOTOGRAPH" (in the upper right corner).
