Noodling is a form of fishing where you (the fisherperson) reach your
arm into, say, an underwater hollow log. The idea is to get a catfish
to clamp onto your hand.

When that happens, you pull out the catfish and then pry them loose
from your hand or arm.

I heard from a person who has done it that it's pretty exciting when
that catfish clamps down on your hand; he said they don't have teeth,
but it's like having sandpaper clamped onto your hand.

He also said that most noodling expeditions involve beer.
