I was away for the last couple days and just now got a chance to read
the newsgroup. There were SO MANY new posts! However, I happened to
breeze through them all in less than 10 minutes. This was of course
due to all the offers of fake jewelry, watches, purses, etc. I access
RCC through Google, which of course doesn't have killfile capabilities
which would have significantly reduced the spam. Do these people
really expect anyone from this group to respond? Do they care? Hell,
do they even read this newsgroup?
End of rant, all vented now and feel much better. Thank you for your
concern.

I'm a frequent reader and it annoys me how much spam there has been lately.
I'm using outlook express and can block email addresses but because they all
come from slightly different one's most of it still gets through. Anyone
know how to reduce this type of spam in outlook express?

deep breath

WE (as in you, me, and a few others) need to get real newsreaders
(something Bigg Fredd advised us to do many years ago). :-)

I reported the DOT.CHINA guy(s) to Google last week, but it seems
either Google isn't doing anything or the spammers are changing their
screen names quicker than we can report them. So, I just scan over
the subject titles and ignore. The answer to all of your questions
is, I doubt it. Maybe they got busted by ebay for selling fake coins,
so they feel that as long as they say their watches are fakes, it's
okay.

I once contacted Zeeterman and asked him to preceed his auctions with
FA, but apparently that fell on deaf (or blind as the case is) ears
(okay, eyes).

another deep breath

Jerry

The words "watch" and "watches" now feature in my filters, all gone, bliss.

They must be the dumbest spammers ever if they think getting up peoples
noses is a good way of attracting business. Billy

My question is: Does anyone else bother to report these guys to the ISP?

Show me one that is free and, this is important to me, does not look like
crap in terms of the GUI interface and I am on board.

Agent does not qualify. It looks like crap to me. I hate it.

Oh, and if it is a responsible newsreader and does not support yEnc then
that is a definite plus.
