Default remove ball bearing from vacumatic filler? and related vac Qs

Hi,

I've managed to get some vacumatics apart and have discovered that at
least one seems to have a shiny little ball bearing in its plastic
filler. Any suggestions for getting the little darling out without
damaging the housing? A little tiny titanium soup ladel would be very
helpful.

I will also need to glue the metal part back to the plastic housing,
which I gather requires super glue. I've not used the stuff much and
don't know what's best to pre-clean with so it sticks the pen together
and not the pen to me, etc. Since I've succeeded in separating most
of the fillers in this way I'm getting the impressing I should perhaps
have removed the sections first and liberated the dried sac muck from
the sides of the pen prior to removing the filler?

Oh, and while I'm at it; after much soaking the filler units have all
screwed out without cracking or other mishaps, but even after careful
cleaning they don't want to go back in very smoothly after the first
few turns and I'm reluctant to force them. Any suggestions for this?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Gretchen
