how to thin/dry a line?
I don't know how I do it, but whenever I make a small nib adjustment, I
always end up with a very fat, very wet line, and undoing what I did doesn't seem to undo the change in line. So, what should one do to narrow out/dry out the line (I seem to have misplaced my Da Book). Thanks, Richard |

Da Book tells you to be VERY careful when spreading tines because its MUCH harder to reverse any changes. Pens aren't toys to play with. You must almost always remove the nib to attempt to bring tines closer together or reset to the feed properly. More details are in Da Book if you find it, but bascially you are probably stuck with any changes you made to increase flow unless you want to take out nib and feed and perhaps cause more problems in doing so unless you are very careful and have some experience in extensive nib and feed work and/or perhaps heat setting. Pens aren't toys to play with. Well, they are if they cost less than $10 :-). Regardless, I guess now I have a good signature pen. Richard |
