OH Pen Show Nov 8-9 Time for a Pen Party

Timed perfectly with the fall colors of the countryside and crisp air
sweeping in from the northwest, I look forward to a leisure drive from
Chicago to Columbus, OH for Terry and Sonya Mawhorter's ever growing
and popular pen show, presented by Bexley and Pen World.

Now the 9th Annual OH pen show has moved to larger quarters very near
past shows, and very convenient and well worth the drive from just
about anywhere in the Midwest.
Terry tells me he has sold out all tables and is now starting a wait
list. Folks need to make their room reservations ASAP as Ohio State
has a home game that weekend.
As you may know, OH is viewed as a vintage show so we remind you there
is a great mix of vintage and new pens also. So far there are over 100
weekend registrants, serious collectors who attend and many new people
from local and far. Of course there will we a good selection of modern
pens and pen related goodies from many sellers featuring papers, inks,
accessories and books.
Steve Overbury is going to present a seminar on lacquer pens. This has
never been done before. Steve was co-author with Julia Hutt _The Art
of Japanese Lacquer Pens_ featuring Namiki products.
There will also be demonstrations by the only known living graduate of
the Zanerian College to receive the Gold Seal for his script
calligraphy. He will give demonstrations of engrossing. He teaches
students worldwide.
Of course OH is also known for their famous Saturday nite desert party
along with the Thursday nite early arrival's wine and cheese welcome,
and don't forget the Friday nite pizza party. The PCA will meet after
the pizza party, deliberately planned when everyone is stuffed and
can't move.
This is a 2 day public show on Sat 10-6 and Sun 10-5.
Over 100 lots will up at auction on Saturday nite 8:30 to 10pm
Early trading is Thurs and Fri 10am to midnite for weekend registrants
and exhibitors.
Seminars will be announced shortly for Sat and Sun
