Default stamp for collectors ... wine collectors

Commercial using of Australian replica stamps - seen in a Romanian
super store. Price around 5 Eur - all included + of course the stamp
replica.

Now, I am not sure which is chipper:

the wine,
the stamp
or
the idea?

Any way - the wine is worse than any other Aus. wine that I ever taste
till now !! may be this was the reason of "stamp of Australia" .
I have another bottle with a white wine. this time is a stamp with a
koala bear - hope to be better (the wine).

I think you shot yourself in the foot.

If your wine you describe is "chipper', it is cheerful, lively, and
self-confident

Sounds good!

Obviously this was a typo, coming from a person (like me) who doesn't
"natively" speak English. And some Romanian humor, like it or not... Maybe
it could be interesting for someone to guess what could mean "casacudor"
(help: three words in one, a poetic name :-)

IMHO, it was a nice thing to put an Australian stamp on the bottle. This
could even bring someone to the idea of collecting Australian stamps (if not
Australian wines, some of them being very good, like some Romanian wines
too).

Salut Victor si multumesc pt. ajutor - nu cred ca DOR poate fi inteles
usor ...nu intru in polemici cu "rodurile Australiei" insa iti confirm
ca vinul timbrat cu strut a fost prost... La 5 euro sunt vinuri
romanesti care ar parea de "colectie" pe langa acela. Si apropos de
frumusetea limbii romane - stiai ca in portugheza : fraza
"Carnea de vaca tine de foame" se pronunta la fel ca in romana si are
acelasi inteles ?!!!....

Anton thinks that the word "dor" won't be easy to translate. He may be right
but I'll try anyway.

In "casacudor" there are 3 words, that are all of Latin origin (which is not
always the case), that's why I proposed you to guess its meaning.

- "casa" is from... "casa" = house
- "cu" comes from "cum" = with
- "dor" is originated in the popular Latin: dolus-dolere, to pain, to hurt
= longing, yearning, homesickness

Therefore "casacudor" = "housewithlonging".

Anton let me know above that the sentence "Carnea de vaca tine de foame" is
pronounced identically in Romanian and Portuguese, and that it has the same
meaning. Interesting. The word "tine" is actually written a bit differently
in Romanian ("t" sedile, and is pronounced like "tzine".

Heirs of Latin languages, unite, and eat beef!
