Default Large Euro Notes

You are correct; there is no 1000 euro note. The largest is 500,
which is roughly the same as the old 1000DM and Guilder notes.
I am in the Netherlands, and I see many signs which state that 500
euro notes are not accepted. Everyone suggests that no note larger
than 100 is common, and the 50 is the currency widely accepted.
