Default Freebie Stamp Project Breaks 110,000 Stamps Donated

Hi there...

Another update for those here who are interested in my (our?) "Freebie
Stamp Project".

Donations sent out, to date, have been 110,500 stamps - on the books.

( Each donation is 100 stamps per request. Some donations, early on,
were not counted. Only those that have the stats recorded have been
counted. )

Rhode Island and Brunei have come on board since the last posting
here. It still amazes me when a person from a new "entity" sends in a
request. Still a lot of countries to go and a lot of collectors to
send to!

=========================

Here goes...

( Some guesstimates have been made where information is lacking. )

Female = 537 requests
Male = 568 requests

Children = 299
Teenagers = 301
Adults = 505

US Stamps = 388
WW Stamps = 717

========================

The breakdown between U.S. states and other countries can be found on
my web site:

http://www.adirondack-pc.com/freebiestamps.htm

The stats will be entered tomorrow, so you will not see the totals
mentioned above until then.

========================

For those that have donated or wish to donate, I currently have quite
a lot of stamps to use. If you have some ready to send, please do so.
Variety, colorfulness and and topicals are always welcomed by the
younger beginners.

The only thing lacking right now is U.S. postage. Pretty much worn
out my older stock. If there are any kind rcsd people that have any
older postage (or some excess) and wish to donate, I can either accept
it as a donation for the project or send you some of my personal, WW,
pre-1960 duplicates. ( Which, by the way, were the source of the last
batch of WW packets. )

========================

Please e-mail me with your comments on the "Freebie Stamp Project".
I'd like to hear how "we" can make it better. Remember - this started
within this newsgroup - nowhere else.

That's an awful lot of Wallpaper there Tracy!!

Could probably do the entire house with that much. It'd be a heck of
a task.

Wouldn't Linns and Mr. Schreiber be VERY upset at that proposition?
