Cross-post on.

That includes those who sit in lofty towers in other newsgroups.
Armchair quarterbacks who are 10 posts removed from the original
context. You have to wonder about all of these voyeuristic actions.

Cross-post off.

Oh look. We appear to have a pot/kettle discolouration competition.

What's an armchair quarterback? I'm don't know much about furniture.

I'm still trying to work out how anyone can be anything else on Usenet. At
least outside of some of the more esoteric technical newsgroups.

How are they bungling? They got the stamps they ordered.

They alternate each year between religious and non-religious stamps.

Seems you like the reporter find reality hard to grasp.

'we'?

I dare one of these Christian nay-sayers to skip buying
presents for their children.

Is there a prize?

Given that Xtians pinched the festival from their pagan forbears, I
find it amusing to see them defending it.

I suspect it's not so much that they are Christian nutjobs, and more a
case of them being dumb and lazy losers determined to find reasons why
it's somebody else's fault that their lives are complete crap.

Lets face it. When you feel it's worth your while to get upset about
what's being put on postage stamps then it's time to look seriously at
lifestyle changes.

Cross-post on.

When you get caught up in the cross-posting frenzy that started in
another newsgroup (with a specific purpose) and admonishing people for
what you do not know but rather your opinions, then it's also time to
look seriously at lifestyle changes.

Cross-post off.

Santa replaces Christ in Christmas stamps

The Daily Express ^ | 07/11/06 | Cyril Dixon

Posted on 11/07/2006 1:44:20 AM PST by Mrs Ivan

BUNGLING mail chiefs were yesterday accused of taking the Christ out of
Christmas.

They unveiled this year's festive stamps - which ignore the
season's holy background.

Furious Christian politicians joined the Church of England to condemn
the Royal Mail over its six faith-free designs.

The trolls strike again, with this multi-crossposted nonsense.

The Royal Mail have had a policy for years, whereby one year
the stamps have a Christian religious theme, and the next a
more secular theme.

This year is the 'secular' one.

Every other year we get the same rant from Church leaders
(and I speak as a regular church-goer).

Now to criticise the Santa stamp on design grounds
is another matter - he does look as if he sitting on the loo
(or at least there is going to be some unpleasantness in the
fireplace next morning).

I am also told by my local postmaster that having
commemorative stamps at 1.19 pounds is very useful,
so it is not just to fleece the collectors...

Why is there no Machin of that value, then?

I am feeling a little aggrieved to receive the third
Smiler sheet in a month this morning, at over six pounds a time.
