Shock Horror !
Someone just e-mailed me to let me know how much he enjoyed reading the book
he bought of me on ebay. I immediately informed him that books bought from me are for collectors only, and should not be opened under any circumstances. This whole episode gave me a nasty turn. I'm just off to iron my dust jackets. Best regards Diane |

Let me take the liberty of altering Diane's posting so that it can be read and understood by others who may not share her advantage: irony html/start Someone just e-mailed me to let me know how much he enjoyed reading the book he bought of me on ebay. Methinks some members of this group have had a humour transplant - It really
was quite obvious irony. Cheers, 'So called' Tom L-M "Eric Bustad" wrote in message ... diane.walker wrote: "Art Layton" wrote in message om... READ THEM! *gasp* don't they know that they are to be used strictly as decoration to make one look "smart" in front of friends? robert "I've been long, a long way from here Put on a poncho, played for mosquitos, And drank til I was thirsty again We went searching through thrift store jungles Found Geronimo's rifle, Marilyn's shampoo And Benny Goodman's corset and pen" |

Well, Diane, I rolled on the floor laughing--having read both the
thread about collecting/reading books, and the thread complaining about that thread. thanks, Jim |
