Final Pentrace Server switchover - take a note of these URL's

The time has come for the final Pentrace server switch!

Sometime within the next 12 hours (depending on the ISP's schedule), the
site will switch completely to it's new home, you will be able to tell from
the Home Page which will have a message to this effect at the top of the
page.

From experience it takes a few hours after that for the DNS details to
ripple throughout the internet. Basically the DNS (Domain Name Server) is
like the index in a book: it tells the browser which server to look up to
find a site, in a similar manner to finding which page of a book a
particular subject is on. For a short period following the transition, a
local DNS may still point to the old server pending having it's details
updated. If that happens you may get the old "Server not found" type of
message as the site apparently drops off the radar.

The last time we switched server, some of our UK readers couldn't find the
site for an hour or two. Some of you may have already found difficulty in
getting through.

To avoid problems, take note of the URL's below . They point directly to the
message boards. Even if your browser can't find Pentrace.com temporarily,
these URL's will get you back on the boards

For the technical savvy, the new nameservers a
Primary Name Server: - 65.40.10.226
Secondary Name Server: - 65.40.10.225

Finally, during this transition, the Pentrace email addresses will also be
affected. We won't lose any messages, but they will be delayed for a few
hours.
