Default Meaning of "kartoniert"

I just ordered a book from Denmark. What kind of binding is
"kartoniert"? Whichever the case I am going to be satisfied. Just
wondering.

It seems to be a German term meaning "bound in boards"--which would be,
I suppose, your ordinary case-bound hardcover book.
