Coin World to start paper money publication

From the snippet of the editorial I read on their website for the June
13 issue it appears that Coin World will be starting a paper
money publication.

I say: What took them so long?

It only makes sense considering the growth in the paper money
field over the past decade.

They probably figured why should we lose all the advertising
in that field to Bank Note Reporter?

Is there enough growth in paper money collecting to support
two publications? I would say yes and with the recent addition
of PCGS and NGC into slabbing currency they probably figured
there will be even more growth with coin collectors checking
out currency.

This is not good news for Bank Note Reporter but I think competition
can only help them in the long run. BNR is good
but somewhat "staid" and predictable in their format.

So... good luck to Coin World. I will be interested in seeing
their approach and coverage in the paper money field.
