Pray tell me I am not the only one that gets shivers seeing what appears to
be a Nazi death camp guard tower on this note?

According to the bank, it's not a Nazi death camp guard tower, but rather:

"Picture of Jewish Brigade volunteers during WW II and of a pre-State
look-out tower; text from Sharett's radio address after his return from a
visit to the Jewish Brigade in Italy."

Umm, watch/guard towers can be found at many different locations.
According to the description (see link below) that side shows "Jewish
Brigade volunteers during WW II and of a pre-State look-out tower".

I believe you, but I guess I do not like seeing guardtowers in any form,
especially on a banknote.

This isn't a guard tower, it's a look-out tower.

There are many examples of towers on notes, from the towers in castles, in
towns, and even airport and racetrack towers. Do these all give you the
creeps, too?

My point is that the towers on the concentration camps were also lookout
towers. Put it into context with the notes issued in Orianenburg
concentration camp that depict the lookout towers and even barbed wire.
