Default Rock-ola 443 jukebox

I am begining the restoration of a 1970 Rock-ola 443 jukebox. This is my first jukebox restoration. Any hints or tips about this machine or Rock-ola machines in general will be appreciated.

Hi Tommy,

If you have trouble with the gripper assembly I have a page on
that...and some other Rockola tips.

Hi Tommy.

I would drop the two motors down (magazine and gripper)
Then carefully dismantle, clean, regrease, check brushes, reassemble then test.

28VDC they should take in order of about .5A when running off load.

Do not dismantle the write-in motor if you don't have too. It is very difficult to re-align.

Take plenty of photographs as you dismantle things. You will need them to
refer to when re-assembling.

Most importantly, buy yourself a service manual and study it carefully.

Pete
