Default Canadian Coins Toning

It seems to me that Canadian silver coins show up toned a lot more
than US ones do.
Could it be because Canadian coins are less likely to have been dipped
than US ones?

All of my old Canadian (and British) silver coins are practically black.

I have Canadian specimen coins from 1967 that are toned a blue so deep
it's almost black. In their case it was due to the case of issue. It's
hard to find 67 Specimens that are not toned.

_______

I just checked my 1967 set, put aside in 1967, and the silver coins are
pretty cloudy, but with no signs of toning or blackness. I'll check back in
another 40 years.
