The 1966 Oz Antarctic set.
A lovely colourful, well designed set,
that always gets snapped up at auction. One of the nicer sets of the Oz Catalogue IMO. http://groups.msn.com/Stamps/shoebox...to&PhotoID=408 |

I worked for 12 years in meteorology (in a measurement lab, but also in expeditions), so that some of the stamps reminded me the old times (that were always good, isn't it?). Perhaps taking into consideration, meteorology was a waste of time according to my Grandad, He could always predict the weather, by the pain in his joints :0) |

Perhaps taking into consideration, meteorology was a waste of time according to my Grandad, He could always predict the weather, by the pain in his joints :0) In SNA we haven't a real Meteorological Service, because the weather is quite stable. This is the reason why such stamps aren't in big demand. My forecast for tomorrow July 25 look like this: the temperature will be again around 40 degrees Celsius at noon and 5 degrees at midnight; no wind, no rainfall, no clouds. BTW, do you know how to recognize a meteorologist (in any country)? It's very simple: he always carries an umbrella with him... I'll keep that in mind, when I finally secure one.
