Default DC & Terroritial Quarters (P vs D)

I live in NJ. Last year I bought a $500 box of quarters from the banks
and was able to get a circulated P set of 2009 quarters. In June I went to
Fremont, CA and got 3 of the 6 I needed for the Denver mint, this was
because I bought 11 rolls of quarters, unfortunately I had to bring them all
back with me on carryon luggage. I just got back from a week in Monterey,
CA. I got the 07-10 D Nickels, 07-10 D Dimes, and only 1 territorial
quarter. I was able to sell back my 12 rolls of quarters to the hotel desk.
This is 2010. If it wasn't for my bank buy of quarters I would not have
got my 2009 P quarters. I know this is because of the box stores use of
change counting machines and use of debit cards, that there is not a lot of
need for change but it is ridiculous not to get new coinage in the year they
are made.
Please don't complain about my lack of a spell checker. I go back and
forth between a couple of languages and my primitive news reader
discontinued the use of English as a spell checker.

No need to apologize. As an east-coaster, I always get confused with the
language, too, when visiting California.
