question about vintage 4-colour pencil
I have a vintage 4-colour pencil of unknown make. It carries no stamp,
though I guess that might have been on the cap that is missing. The sliders do not lock into place. They are held in place solely by friction, which can be altered by adjusting the brass screws on the sides of the case. http://www.box.net/shared/static/b8pxhv1hnq.JPG The leads are approx 1.5 mm diam. and are held in springs forced onto the tips of the sliders. http://www.box.net/shared/static/fas9zirs7m.JPG I am familiar with the Norma and Majus 4-colour pencils, but this one uses its own technique for offering the four colours and mounting the leads. Do any of you have any idea who manufactured this type of pencil, and when? |
