Sheaffer Prelude question

I'm a person who likes Italic nibs.. recently I was able to pick up the
small sheaffer prelude set of calligraphy nibs on "that" auction site.
Now I need a prelude to use them with and I'll be a really happy camper.
I do own one prelude, one of the christmas pens and I like it but I
find it a bit heavy because of the metal body. I note that Sheaffer has
started to produce a ballpoint prelude in a smaller size. I have not
seen a fountain pen in that model. I'm wondering if anyone knows if the
threads on the bodys are the same size as the fountain pens, and if I
can buy a ballpoint body, remove the section and substitute my
caligraphy nibs and if it will all fit..

fit..
