The "Quarter Shrinker" is featured in October Popular Science Mag
Hi all,
The Quarter Shrinker is featured in the October issue of Popular Science Magazine. For those RCCer's that aren't familiar with it, this is the machine that shrinks quarters to the size of dimes "in a flash". Everyone gets their five minutes of fame... :^). From RCC's resident Mad Scientist, Bert |

Could you enlighten us? Thanks. Aram. |

Hi Aram, There's no "honey, I shrunk the kids" magic involved... :^) As the coins shrink in diameter they get thicker - the weight and density (or specific gravity) of the coin remains the same. An article that describes the results on the coins was published in the Spring MintError News - it has been reproduced at: http://205.243.100.155/photos/Shrunken_Coins1.PDF Best regards, -- Bert -- -- -------------------------------------------------------------------- We specialize in UNIQUE items!
