1836 $2.50 - is this worth selling?
check out alt.binaries.pictures.numismatic.
I have a 1836 $2.50 that may be in such poor condition, it may not be worth anything but melt. what do you think? Nooker

Nooker From the photos it appears that this piece may have been looped at one time as jewelry, which tends to lower the numismatic value. That being said, there are collectors (like me) who will buy these pieces. Some of us cannot afford the price of a pristine coin and realize that while the coin is not totally "original" it is still a gold coin. If you want to sell it, put it on ebay and see what happens. Let us know if you do.
