Bush's anti-gay marriage amendment failing

In an act of total desperation to pander to right wing loonies which
are his "base," Dubya Bush again brings up the "anti-gay marriage
Constitutinal amendment" as if to further alienate him from the
mainstream. Recent polls show this amendment won't even get out of
the Senate, let alone get the required states for ratification. Talk
about despseration! Repuke senators up for re-election are running as
fast as they can from this, knowing the Democrating takeover poised to
come in November. One of the amendment's senatorial backers, Rick
Santorum of Pennsylvania, is 20 point behind Democratic challenger
Casey, and even he's keeping his mouth shut!

There's no way there will be an amendment because only 50 percent
support it. There is simply no mandate, and it's not like they can point
to MA and say 'SEE'? as if the state is now falling apart.
This one will die pretty quick, I'm sure.
...but surely Noodles will try to find a way to keep it alive, by making
the tired accusations against us that we must be gay because we're
posting about this....but then again, so are -you- Noodles, so perhaps
you should consult Sigmund.
