Finds this week in rolls
As usual, $5 in cents, $20 in nickels. ;-)
I collected and adopted 6 wheat cents, better than usual condition and dates. ;-) 1958-D 1957-D 1950-S 1940-D 1938 1924 Plus a 1941 Canadian cent. (Always glad not to see Elizabeth, such a thrill!) Nickels included 2 x 1938 (one VF) 1940-S 1957 1963 AU Just back from Reno and running off to Philly tomorrow, a more active reader and poster next four weeks! Alan 'nasty headmaster of the numismatic orphanage' nice haul! i really need to search nickels more. in this town, there should be proofs. i found a war yesterday. Speaking greedily, we wouldn't want word to get around. ;-) I have this disturbing image of some guy clutching a Nevada SQ with his right hand while spending 1958, 1938 and 1960 Jeffs with the other. I mean, gosh! An initial mintage of less than 20,000,000 and I found two in 400? There will come a day that the collecting community realizes these are all gone, and I will have hoarded an embarrassment of riches. Either that or my survivors will find this growing stash, pronounce me a senile old squirrel and dump the lot in a Coinstar machine. Alan 'ever vigilant' |

Alan 'ever vigilant' i'm going to either sell it off and spend the money, or donate it to a museum. i am not leaving any of my collections to the nieces and nephews, except for the immediate sister's ones. i will have my cremation paid for, leave no bills and leave only some books and records. screw the decendants, i'm taking it with me. i too have a stash of unknown treasures. Hopefully you won't croak tonight,,, mess up the plans :-) Coinstar lurks in the shadows.... Alan 'at Ebenezer's bedside' |
