First printing of over 8 million? Guess this one won't be a
collectable?
any thoughts on the volumes missing pages ?

They're defective and should be returned.

OTOH, if you flog them as rarities at eBay, and write the listing in
all caps with lots of exclamation points, you can find fools who will
part with their money.

The /Phoenix/ one with a missing "Y" for £77 has to be an all-time low
in dumb buying. At least the first state /Goblet of Fire/ stuff was
the author's fault rather than a typesetter.

I am a weak sinner. I found three of these (missing "y" /Phoenix/es) at
UKP 11.99 today in a reputable bookseller. If someone feels them to be
collectable, who am I, a penurious person who will spend the money on
more deserving tomes, to deny them the thrill of bidding?

Xenocyte Books. Now on eBay. They're back. And this time it's serious.
http://tinyurl.com/g1jt Today's top item: "Harry Potter and the Order
of the Phoenix". With printing errors on the first page of the story
.... how collectable is that?
