Default RCC Summer Swap Roll Call!

I know some involved in the RCC Summer Swap will not recieve their swap
until next week but I thought
I would start a unified thread about what you got anyway :-) Contribute
when you can!

I got an 1854-o Half Dollar. Yes it is very well worn but it is the only
Seated Half I have ever had in my entire 35+ years collecting life. It also
has a die chip and a die break but the die break is not visible in the
image.

I always intended to get a seated half as well as a seated dollar too but
never got around to it. I am easily sidetracked from my main goals which is
probably why I have finished so very few coin sets.

I was very proud to get it and it filled a hole in my US type Album that I
would not likely have filled for many years.

Some of my rcc trades in the past have been less than stellarbut most were
great! I am satified with this one!
Well a coin from the 1700's US would have been better ;-) but I suspect it
was just a little beyond
the $15 limit of the swap.

What did you get?

Dale

What did you get?

I got a pretty 1924 Peace Dollar (PCGS MS-63), which is the only nice Peace
Dollar that I have. I'm really pleased to have it!

I got a 1889 Seated Lib Dime with full LIBERTY and a 1976 50 Francs Silver
Dollar sized coin!

Thanks!

I'm ready for the next swap. Now, if we could just get Ira to send out some
of his coins..... ;-)

Dale,

As I stated about two weeks ago, I received two Barber Quarters--a strong G
1913 and a F/VF 1915 from Ed Hendricks. It is rather hard to fill holes in
my collections for $15, but the Barber Quarter set is my fun set...until I
hit the keys.... I realize that Ed was cleaning out his own collection, but
he did go well over the limit at least in retail value!

I sent a nice 1884 Indian Head cent to Danielle. I didn't realize she was
an eight year old, or I would have sent some more goodies! I did go over
the limit a little, but not that much. Her father posted that I sent a MS
Indian head...shucks I don't even have a MS Indian head here. It was a dark
brown slider, at least that is what I paid for. When I first started
collecting when I was a kid about 35 years ago, I didn't even know what a
full liberty Indian head cent looked like. I am more than happy she enjoyed
her coin.

I am really looking forward to the Christmas swap again. Thanks again,
John!

Mark

Well, if you consider total retail value, I went over a little too on what I
sent.
If my trade partner has patience then he can retail them for some what he
really likes :--)

I received 20 different non-US coins. They ranged from Canada to Great Britain, to
Philippines and from 1874 to 1964. Nice selection and I am very happy.

Henry Mensch outdid himself. He sent a BU 2004 Greek 2 Euros with the
Athens Olympic theme (discus thrower), a Proof 1999 SBA and two BU New
Zealand 5 Dollar commems in fancy mint packaging with COAs and History. One
has a mintage of only 5,000! I was very pleased with the Summer Swap.
Thanks again, John, for organizing it.

Dale-
You *definitely* went over!

And your trade partner is *delighted* with what he got--he --really likes-- the
whole set of very nice US coins, elongated cents with a Texas theme, and some
purty Austrian coinage. Everything was great!

Regards,
Tom
