WWI 4th Division Unit History Book, c. 1920

This WWI 4th Division Unit History Book is in excellent condition. It is
titled, (The Fourth Division, Its Services and Achievements in the World
War). It is written by Christian A. Bach, (Col. of the General Staff, 4th
Division) and Henry Nobel Hall (war correspondent London Times, accredited
to the American Army). The book is issued by the 4th Division, First
Edition, Copyright 1920. The book is 368 pages and is a complete chronology
of the 4th Division during WWI. The chapters begin with the
organization/mobilization of the 4th Division, crossing the Atlantic,
training with the British and French, the Aisne-Marne Offensive, Sergy,
Vesle operation, St. Mihiel Offensive, the Meuse-Argonne Offensive, fighting
with the U.S. Second Army, the march into Germany and subsequent occupation,
and final homeward bound. The later sections of the book include
bibliography and references, Roster of the Commanders, Decorations and
Awards, Citations and Commendations, and a listing of the soldiers in the
Division by Regiment and Company. There are nice photographs of the
Divisional Commanders in full uniform and photos of combat action and battle
areas. The book measures 6 inches x 9 inches. It is in excellent condition.
There are no rips, tears, creases, or missing pages. There are no stains and
no water damage or soiling.
