Obviously overgraded, but is it even real?
The date spacing doesn't look quite right to me...
What do you think? ....Tom http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...4584 573&rd=1 |

I believe it's real, but the grade is several points high. Looks more like
a strong Fine or weak VF. Let's see what Ira says. Wes wrote in message oups.com... The date spacing doesn't look quite right to me... I still wonder...there is more of a gap to the left side of the second
"1" than on the right side. Not nearly as much as on the altered 1944s, but...genuine 14-Ds that I've seen are very evenly spaced between the "9 1 4" . It's close...a tough call, in my opinion... ...Tom |

I agree the spacing looks a little odd, but there doesn't seem to be enough for
it to be from an altered 1944-D. One thing that did catch my eye was the vertical line at the upper right of the "1" in the "14". Something definitely not right. Jerry "Tom," of Little Round Coins fame, offers: I still wonder...on this coin there is more of a gap to the left side of the second "1" than on the right side.
