Default 2006 US Mint Uncl 20 coin set

I am still waiting on a answer.

Hi all:

I have a funny question?

I received my mint sets today.

They are really nice.

Anyway I opened the first set, and I found 19 with mint marks D and P
except one.

The One cent piece did not have any marks in the P set.

I just wonder why everything else had mint marks.

Thanks ahead of time if you have any comments.

Question:
My Lincoln cent does not have a mint mark. Is this an error?

Answer:
No. Coins that were produced at Philadelphia before 1979 do not have a mint
mark except for five cent coins produced there from 1942-1945. Starting in
1979, all coins produced by the United States at Philadelphia carried the
"P" mint mark - except for the penny. All the Lincoln cents minted at
Denver, however, carry the "D" mint mark.

I hope that helps.

The Philadelphia mint cent doesn't have a mintmark. I don't think it ever
had one.
