Default mayotte?

Hi, as i'm new to this forum, i want to say thank you for all the entertaining and informative stuff here.

And this is my question... french island mayotte has been issuing its own stamps since 1997, but then recently voted to become a department of france in 2011. so does it mean it will go the way of guadeloupe or reunion i.e. using french stamps again?

Many thanks.

If Mayotte were printing their own, why the 2002 overprints?
I checked and the Philatelic bureau of Mayotte has closed I see.

We rarely see Mayotte discussed in this group.

Welcome to RCSD, Eric.

In what concerns your question, you are right, starting by 2011 Mayotte,
then the 101st French department, will use French stamps.

I found this piece of information he
