Postcards from phantomm
My preferred format (with normal flat bed scanner) is to select the whole scanner bed with the "lassoo tool" and set to 200dpi. Here is a cover, on the bed set at 200dpi http://cjoint.com/data/igo7sxmbO0.htm Then the reverse http://cjoint.com/data/igpabo13eG.htm Open the files in "picassa" for correct alignment (picasa is free) rotate and crop to give a well balanced image http://cjoint.com/data/igpbUv21Tb.htm I open in ACDsee and join the two as a contact sheet finished http://cjoint.com/data/igpdRF2wGv.htm Two postcards could be done in about 5 minutes or less, I do multiples which is even quicker, but this imho is the best way to present a postcard worth keeping You never have to handle it again, just open up the image. HTH "phantomm_1" I forgot to ask you about the Image format when It leaves my PC, As there is an app. that may be screwing things up. I'll do some setting adjustments. What would you suggest for better scanning tecqniques and display for postcards with Stamps and Stamps alone? |
