Ping: Tony M re India IEF
Apparently the overprint has been forged on the later George V issue on multiple star watermarked paper. Is this one on single star watermarked paper? Tony Mac Gillycuddy http://cjoint.com/data/kFgbkqj6uO.htm Single wmk Tony, we shall put it down to once only freak flaw. May I ask what ref you employed that suggested the mult star has been forged? Must be a very comprehensive catalogue. Thanks Rodney

Yes, yours was probably a stray bit of dirt. I recently had a similar experience with a Bhopal SG O340 (8 anna palaces), which certainly seemed to me to have an inverted A for the V in the SERVICE overprint. Alas, the BPA expert committee thought otherwise. Still, it looks good. Tony
