Who will get a 2003 $2 bill first?
Now that 2003 series $2 bills are being made, and in circulation
according to Coin World, who here will be the first to actually get one? Paul -- Paul Anderson OpenVMS Engineering Hewlett-Packard Company |

Theoretically none of the new I-* $2s will be in circulation until some
non-star $2s are produced and at least one non-star note is spoiled.. "Paul Anderson" wrote in message ... Paul It maybe an urban legend, but there was something a couple of weeks ago about some restaurant that Ted Turner opened in Atlanta that was using the new $2's and sackie bucks as some change gimmick. The deuces have been printed but unless Teddy have it in with the Feddy I think they are '95's too. Dave |

It could be that the first twos to appear will be those in sheets sold by the BEP. That's if the BEP decides to sell sheets. Paul -- Paul Anderson OpenVMS Engineering Hewlett-Packard Company |

They probably will, eventually; however, this is not why they're printing up these $2 Notes, unlike the "Star-District Sheets" they produced for special sales. These are being printed due policy directives - their reserve supply of $2 Notes has dropped below the minimum, and they must print more to maintain that number - sort of like why the Mint had to strike the 1999 SBAs, even though they were about to make the new Sacs in just a few months. 8-/ Coin Saver |
