what are some basic tips for collecting mlb autographs in the mail.

should i prepare the cards? i think i might just put them in plastic
sleeves. should i do more?

If you are sending trading cards rub the front of them down with a
non abbrassive eraser.. usually a white eraser... This way the ink doesn't
bead up on the wax/glossy front. I usually tell the person who I'm sending
to that I prepared the cards. This way they use a sharpie and not a ball
point pen.
